Way back in 1989 Mom and I started writing name histories, personally for you. We researched them together, Mom wrote the first half, the history of the name, and I wrote the second half, the characteristics associated with the name. Then we added in surnames (last names). Those are a lot of fun, there’s so much history behind them that we left out the characteristics section. Finally, we introduced our Personalized Inspiration line, bookmarks, or they can be done on a full sheet of paper, with the name, a few characteristics associated with the name because of its meaning (Peter means “the rock” so characteristics are steadfast and strong), and a scripture chosen to inspire from the King James Version of the Bible. We now offer more books of scripture as an option.
We went and did a lot of fairs and craft shows and had a lot of fun working together and selling our name histories. Fast forward through time and mom got cancer, we quit working at shows and took care of her, but still did name histories from repeat customers who knew how to contact us even after I had to take down the website because we couldn’t handle that much business. Mom has passed away (2017) and I never stopped doing the names, you just had to know how to contact me. Now things are in a much better place and there’s more family to help out so we are going back on the web. We are ready to meet all of you and learn about your name!
Today it’s still a family business. Mom has passed on, but the daughter is still here and other family members help out. We only do online sales now, we’re not going back on the road, but are looking forward to working with you.
